After our long-awaited building permit was issued, our expansion project began. The school portables were going to be transformed into a new space for retreats, family gatherings, meetings, etc. Once the old walls had been removed, the framing began:
In the winter of 2021/2022, the interior work began with construction heaters:
The interior work continued from May until the fall of 2022; balcony preparations were made and wood siding was installed:
In August of 2023, with a lot of help from our friends in Toronto, the siding was stained:
In November of 2023, the back yard was prepared for the new septic system:
